SUMMARY:
Casual dining Restaurant in Bloubergstrand Is looking for a Bartender.
The primary role is to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, responsible for taking orders, mixing drinks according to recipes or customer requests and ensuring responsible alcohol service.
You will also manage the bar area, maintain inventory, handle cash transactions, and create a positive customer experience.

Duties:
Serving Drinks: Mixing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and other drinks, according to recipes and customer preferences.
Customer Service: Interacting with customers, taking orders, providing recommendations, and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience.
Bar Management: Managing the bar area, including stocking supplies, maintaining inventory, cleaning the bar and surrounding areas, and ensuring a safe and organized environment.
Cash Handling: Processing payments, handling cash transactions, and managing cash registers.
Age Verification: Checking identification to ensure customers are of legal drinking age.
Inventory Management: Monitoring bar inventory, placing orders for supplies, and ensuring adequate stock levels.
Problem Solving: Handling customer complaints, addressing issues related to intoxication, and ensuring responsible alcohol service.
Compliance: Following all health, safety, and sanitation regulations related to food and beverage service.
Working with other staff, including servers and kitchen staff, to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
Requirements:
Grade 12
Mixology qualification will be an advantage
At least 2 – 4 years’ experience as a Bartender / Barman in busy restaurant environment
Knowledge of various drink recipes, cocktail preparation techniques, and the ability to create and recommend drinks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers, provide recommendations, and ensure a positive experience.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as taking orders, preparing drinks, and managing transactions.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items like cases of beverages.
Basic math skills for accurate cash transactions.
Understanding of relevant laws and regulations regarding alcohol service.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to handle customer requests, address concerns, and resolve issues calmly and efficiently.
