This position will be working for a leading Global Luxury Alcohol Company representing all community and league aspects within the basketball community.

POSITION INFO:
REQUIREMENTS

• Relevant degree
• Experience working within the sports sector essential
• Must be passionate about sport and urban culture, basketball highly advantageous
• Clear understanding of the African culture
• Management experience with partnerships and sponsorships
• Detail orientated, good general awareness of local affairs in the sports sector
• Capable of managing a wide range of tasks at the same time
• Efficient on all Social Media platforms
• Strong communication skills – written, verbal and presentations
• Efficient with planning, prioritisation and project management
• Excellent computer literacy

• Building brand partnerships and sponsorships
• Managing a series of youth development, community service and business events
• Develop PR strategies to present the brand in the best positive light
• Managing potential sponsors for various events, building relationships and coordinating promotions
• Supporting and uplifting community initiatives and events
• Improving brand awareness and gaining media exposure
• Extending campaigns
• Manage and monitor social media, create engaging content and targeting specific audiences
• Promoting of basketball teams, players and the organisation involvement
• General all round administration duties
• Manage instructions from the overseas Head Office and the Cape Town Head Office
• Documenting communications with third parties and collating for future reference
• Establishing relationships among sports editors etc.
• Understanding both consumer and trends of the diverse media and sports media landscape
