SUMMARY:

Datacentrix is looking for a Bid Manager to manage customer tender responses and coordinates company bids. Create solutions and develop strategies while complying with customer tender requirements in order to achieve the ultimate goal of securing winning bids.  Work at the executive-level within sales teams, and work closely with executives such as managing directors, sales managers and account managers. Ability to work across a number of industry sectors.



POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

  • Matric and relevant ID Degree
  • Project management experience in developing, managing and tracking tasks assigned to responders working on bid.
  • Bid management
  • Sales experience in the IT industry
  • Experience with Smartsheet advantageous
  • Smartsheet content creation with automation; focusing on creating new project sheets for bids, dashboards and reports.
Job description:
  • Manage all aspects of proposal preparation, ensuring quality, compelling bids are submitted in a timely manner.
  • Review all tender requirements to ensure that they are met in the proposal and collaborate with a wide variety of involved parties to include all necessary information within the proposals.
  • Tasked with coordinating incoming bid requests and proposal responses, the Big Manager must organise and track all requests and responses using bid office tools. Be responsible for maintaining and updating this databases regularly.
  • Act as a coach for leading sales staff such as Account Managers and Sales Executives. They guide staff through the entire bid process cycle and help them score large deals for the company. Acting as a mentor, their goal is to train and educate sales staff in a way that will spark company growth.
  • Manage and drive escalations with response teams to stakeholders.
  • Assist with solution quality reviews and bid pricing and submit pricing for review and approval.
  • Liaise with customer Supply Chain departments as required
  •
