SUMMARY:
A permanent position for a Bill Auditor at a hospital in Bloemfontein is available.
POSITION INFO:
Role responsibility:
Managing the financial and clinical risks of the business unit by conducting audits of patient documentation. Identify areas of weakness, recommend corrective action and monitor effective implementation thereof.
Knowledge of the following is an inherent job requirement:
· Hospital patient services and billing processes
· Good understanding of CPT/CCSA & ICD coding
· Understand funder contracts, scheme rules and exclusions/benefits
· Clear understanding and knowledge of hospital industry and practices
Education and General Requirements:
· General Nursing Diploma OR Enrolled Nurse Certificate
· SANC registered
· Min of 3 years Case Management, Clinical Coding or Bill Auditor experience (essential)
· Computer proficient
· Clear criminal and Clear credit verification
· Detail orientated
· Good self-management and influential skills
