Bill Auditor - Healthcare (Remote)

SUMMARY:
Bill Auditors for a healthcare facility required for a 3-month short term contract position. Applicants will have the option to WORK REMOTELY or at the facility.

POSITION INFO:

Please note the requirement for working remotely is access to reliable WI-FI connection. 

Applicants must be able to resume duty by latest 01 June''21 and complete the fixed term contract until end of August''21.

Education, skills and general requirements:

• General Nursing Diploma OR  Enrolled Nurse Certificate
• SANC registered
• Min of 3 years Case Management, Clinical Coding or Bill Auditor experience
• Previous working experience at Medscheme or Life Healthcare required
• Hospital patient services and billing processes
• Good understanding of CPT/CCSA & ICD coding   
• Understand funder contracts, scheme rules and exclusions/benefits
• Good understanding and knowledge of hospital industry and practices
• CLEAR credit and criminal record required
• Computer proficient, knowledge or IMeds/Citrix software   

Key output and responsibilities of the role:
Managing the financial and clinical risks of the business unit. Conduct retrospective audits of patient documentation, to identify areas of weakness, recommend corrective action and monitor effective implementation.
