Board Developer

The Board Developer will be responsible for the development of EPM solutions and supporting the EPM team and clients on various EPM solutions. The Board developer will follow instructions according to the Team Lead/Line manager and will report directly to a Senior Member of the EPM team.

Primary Responsibilities for the Role

• The Board Developer will be responsible for the following duties:
• Required to assist in designing, development and configuring specific EPM solutions that best accommodates the needs of our customers.
• Undertake the delivery of best practice solutions that meet the highest standard.
• Development of proof of concept applications
• Follow best practice development practices
• Be able to design high-quality reports, dashboards and graphical user interfaces with focus on creating a good user experience
• Monitor and maintain the EPM System ensuring that processes are operating effectively, and that data is transferring between the systems correctly.
• Problem and incident management of issues arising on the specific EPM System as well as the data movements between the systems and action the appropriate remedies for issues.
• Proactively and efficiently work on assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
• As appropriate complete weekly time sheets and ensure timely and accurate billing of clients for work completed.
• Communicate effectively and professionally on all levels.

Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements

• BCom in Informatics, BSc In Informatic, or related degree
• Microsoft SQL Skills (e.g. SELECT, UPDATE, DELETE and JOIN statements)
• Basic financial understanding
• Understanding of Business Intelligence
• Understanding of complex data sets with proven aptitude to data modelling and application development, with exposure to at least one multi-dimensional tool.
• Understanding of multidimensional models (hierarchies, dimensions, etc)Ability to work with CSV and Text based data sets
• Experience of designing high-quality reports, dashboards and graphical user interfaces
• Ability to troubleshoot any issues which might occur in terms of system and data.
• Ability to converse both to business and technical stakeholders
• Collaborative team player who establishes relationships with ease and communicates effectively with persons on all levels.
