Boilermaker (Workshop)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the mining industry is seeking an experienced Boilermaker to join their Workshop Team in Bloemfontein, Free State.

**South African citizens and those living in the area will be preferred**

POSITION INFO:
Responsibility:
Safety

• Compliance with all safety regulations as set out in the mines policies
• Complete daily inspections and Maintain workshop and assets namely work areas equipment tools and toolbox

Maintenance

• Maintain install, do diagnostics and repair steel and metal structures
• Perform instructions as per work orders and job cards
• Report problem and make recommendations to supervisor
• Comply with quality standards
• Participate in planning process and execution of plans in your section

Housekeeping

• General tidiness and good housekeeping of site and other areas of responsibility.

Minimum Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license
• Boilermaker Trade Certificate is required
• N2 in relevant field of trade
• Three (3) years post trade experience in a heavy industrial. mining or plant environment

Knowledge / Competencies /Abilities:

• Fully bilingual
• Most be medically fit and pass a medical examination as required from the designated mines
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines as determined by the supervisor

Most possess basic problem solving. basic self-management
