SUMMARY:
Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper & Financial Assistant (in-office) to support the Group Accountant with day-to-day accounting, stock control, and administrative tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing inventory, and ensuring efficient financial operations.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping

Capture and maintain accurate financial records up to trial balance
Process accounts payable and receivable
Perform bank reconciliations and cash up
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes

Stock Management

Monitor and maintain accurate stock records
Perform regular stock reconciliations and variance analysis
Coordinate stock takes and investigate discrepancies
Work closely with operations to ensure stock accuracy and control

Assistant to Financial Manager

Provide day-to-day support to the Financial Manager
Prepare schedules and reports for audits or reviews
Handle ad hoc financial and administrative tasks
Ensure compliance with internal processes and controls

Requirements

Must reside in Somerset West, Strand, or Gordon’s Bay
Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a bookkeeping or similar finance role
Minimum qualification: Financial certificate or equivalent
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial processes
Experience with Pastel and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
