SUMMARY:
A well-established school in Johannesburg North is seeking to appoint a dedicated, detail-oriented, and experienced Bookkeeper to join their administrative team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full bookkeeping function, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting the school’s financial stability and growth.

POSITION INFO:
Key Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage the full bookkeeping function up to trial balance
Process and reconcile invoices, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Prepare and manage cash flow reports and forecasts
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
Assist with budget preparation and financial reporting
Process journal entries and general ledger reconciliations
Liaise with auditors and external accountants when required
Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
Support payroll processing (if required)

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years’ proven bookkeeping experience
Experience managing the full finance function, including invoicing and cash flow management
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Previous experience in a school environment will be advantageous
