Bookkeeper

Job & Company Description:

A well-established IT and Telecoms services company seeks an experienced Bookkeeper to join their dynamic finance team based in Johannesburg North.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full bookkeeping function up to Balance Sheet.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Daily cashbook processing in Sage

Bank reconciliations

Daily cash flows to be prepared and distributed

Loading payments

Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Review of income statements and ensuring accurate allocation of transactions

Preparation of monthly VAT reconciliation and VAT201s

Review debtors and creditors accounts monthly and recommend improvements

Cash Flow forecasts

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Finance / Accounting

Skills & Experience:

4 to 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping to balance sheet role

Sage Evolution working knowledge is non-negotiable

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
