JOB DESCRIPTION:

Bookkeeper

Salary: R15 000 – R25 000 per month, depending on experience

Our client, a well-established firm within the financial services industry in the Pretoria East is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team

Minimum requirements:

Matric
Tertiary education would be an advantage
2+ years’ experience within the same or similar role
Advanced Excel experience
Experience working up to trial balance
Previous experience with Sage (Sage Evolution would be beneficial)
Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8h00 - 16h30

Duties will be, but not limited to:

Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
Update and maintain the general ledger
Reconciliation of entries into the accounting system
Recording of debits and credits
Maintain the trial balance, by a reconciliation of general ledgers
Account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions
Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
Monitor any variances from the projected budget
