JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the shipping and logistics industry is urgently looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to join their organization

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Location: Little Falls, Roodepoort

Requirements:

Matric
Degree/Diploma in Accounting
4 years of Accounts experience
Must have advanced Excel skills
Must be available to work on weekends should there be a need.
Must be vaccinated (non-negotiable)
Experience in the shipping/logistics industry will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

Timeous Invoicing for debtors.
Timeous follow-ups on payments, telephonically and via email.
Statement of Account – send to debtors
Eloquent in English.
Follow up with operations on SOB’s.
Timeous reminders to pay.
Liaising with attorneys and debt collectors regarding debtors.
Receipting.
Checking for additional charges and invoicing timeously.
Profit and loss and capturing on Liner Suite (our system)
Internal Inventory Control
Asset Register
Filling credit application forms
Liaising with insurance companies as well as Credit Guarantee
Ensure all filing is up to date.
Reporting
Reconciling and forecasts
Meeting Minutes
A backup to creditors department hence must know creditors.
Meet deadlines
