  POSITION INFO:
  

  RTT Road invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the Junior Bookkeeper position based in Johannesburg (Jetpark office). The role is responsible for expense analysis, recording day to day financial transactions, and to manage the fixed asset register.

  Minimum:

  • 5+ years’ experience in similar role
  • Previous experience working on Oracle would be advantageous
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Computer Literacy, Numerical skills
  • Advance excel skills
  • Sound communication skills in both written and verbal format
  • Financial and accounting knowledge
  • Full bookkeeping function to Trial balance
  • Verify transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger
  • Manage credit card statements
  • Monitor and manage Petty cash recons
  • Balance Sheet Recons
  • Processing COD journals
  • Month end accruals
  • Reporting based in excel, should be able to create own templates
  • Financial Responsibility
  • Management of Fixed Asset Register
  • Expense analysis per branch
  • Liaising with Administrators at various branches in regards with meeting month-end deadlines and assisting with Purchase order requisitions
  • Liaising with Branch Managers on GL entries and queries
  • Perform other duties as and when requested, by Department Head or Manager within own area of abilities and responsibilities.

  Exceptional work ethic

  Minimum:

  • Grade 12
  • Junior bookkeeping course/certificate/diploma

   

  Preferred:

  • A relevant qualification in Accounting/Bookkeeping will be beneficial
