Bookkeeper / Invoice Clerk

SUMMARY:
A well-established company in the East Rand is looking for a Bookkeeper / Invoicing Clerk to join their team!

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, accounts clerk, or invoicing clerk.
• Familiarity with accounting software Pastel or Sage

• Bookkeeping to Trial Balance
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Record day-to-day financial transactions including purchases, receipts, sales and payments
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure ledger accuracy
• Maintain General Ledger and post journal entries
• Monitor accounts and ensure payments are up to date
• Assist in preparing financial reports
• Generate and send out accurate invoices to clients/customers
• Resolve invoice discrepancies and customer billing issues
• Maintain filing systems for financial records and documentation
• Provide administrative support to the finance or accounting team
• Respond to inquiries related to financial transactions or billing
