JOB SUMMARY:
Bookkeeper - Modderfontein

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of Position: To record financial transactions, update statements, and check financial records for accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities:

vReconcile multiple bank reconciliations and understand how to correct reconciling items as and/or when required.

vPrepare and maintain financial information.

vEnsure that the day-to-day financial transactions are accurately recorded.

vTimely preparation, review and submissions of VAT, PAYE calculations, reconciliations, and payments.

vPreparing monthly reports.

vLiaise with Debtors and Creditors.

vInterprete financial information.

vPayroll preparation.

vTax Clearance.

vProject costing and reporting.

vProcessing of journals.

vPrepare, calculate, and submit provisional and annual income tax returns for individuals and companies.

vMonthly creditors, debtors, general ledgers, and cashbook process to trial balance.

Job Requirements:

ØEducational Competencies:

vMatric.

vBComm Accounting.

vMinimum of 3-5 years of Bookkeeping experience.

vMS Office.

vKerridge System(K8) – advantageous.

vKnowledge in VAT and Tax Act.

ØBehavioural Competencies:

vAttention to detail.

vAbility to work with little supervision in a fast-paced environment.

vAble to work under pressure and to deadlines.

vGood team player.

vWilling to learn.
