SUMMARY:
Are you a number-loving pro who enjoys tidy books and flexible hours? We’re looking for a reliable Bookkeeper / Junior Accountant to manage finances for three privately owned companies, working 2–3 days a week on your own schedule. If you're fluent in English and Afrikaans, comfortable on a Mac, and confident with Xero — let’s chat!

POSITION INFO:

Manage the full bookkeeping function across multiple entities using Xero
Prepare monthly management accounts, monitor cash flow, and provide accurate, up-to-date financial reporting
Prepare and submit all SARS statutory returns, including VAT, EMP201, and EMP501
Handle payroll, supplier payments, and general financial administration
Ensure compliance with UIF, RMA, COIDA, and maintain Letters of Good Standing
Assist with preparing audit-ready accounts, including reconciliations, trial balances, and liaising with auditors
Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance and support efficient financial operations
Collaborate with or become familiar with vTiger CRM to support business processes

Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ bookkeeping/accounting experience, ideally across multiple businesses
Strong working knowledge of Xero and South African tax regulations
Experience producing audit-ready financials and working with external auditors
Reliable, hands-on, and detail-oriented
Preference given to male candidates meeting the criteria
Fluent in English and Afrikaans
Comfortable with Mac OS

Qualification:
Diploma in Finance/Accounting (or similar)
