Bookkeeper - Pietermaritzburg
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Prepare invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
• Process payroll or assist with payroll preparation
• Maintain General Ledger and financial filing systems
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing
• Provide financial reports as needed
• Support the accounting team with additional tasks as assigned

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage)
• Strong Excel and data-entry skills
• Close attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Preferred but not required)
