JOB SUMMARY:
The ideal candidate for this position has an excellent head for numbers, is familiar with Sage Online, is an Excel Guru. Diligence and reliability are key and meeting deadlines and commitments are essential. You need to know your way around SARS eFiling, VAT submissions and PAYE submissions too. Must have a personality and enjoy agency culture!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

Full bookkeeping function
Full function debtors and creditors
Monthly debit order run
Monthly invoice run
Customer liaison, recons, statements, queries and debt collection
Client services management
Supplier processing (making sure all documents are obtained and processed by the deadline date), recons, preparation of payments
Cashbooks

Accurately posting daily cashbooks and cash flow management
Understanding of foreign transactions
(Debtors/creditors/cashbook)

Monthly journals
VAT calculation and return submission
PAYE returns
Fixed assets
Month end closure
Monthly general ledger reconciliations
Monthly sales reports
Monthly management accounts
Annual budget preparation
Year-end packs
Maintaining documents
General office duties

Requirements

Tertiary qualification in finance
At least 5 years full bookkeeping function experience
Sage Online Accounting essential
MS Excel essential
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
Attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent numerical skills and good organisational skills.
