In the motor industry, margins matter, stock moves fast, and accuracy is everything.
A well-established and reputable automotive group is looking to appoint a Branch Accountant for their Midrand operation. This is a hands-on, operational finance role where you will sit close to the business - supporting dealership management, overseeing daily finance activities, and ensuring strong controls are in place.
If you understand the pace and pressure of the motor industry, enjoy working directly with operational teams, and take pride in clean reporting and disciplined processes, this role will suit you.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the full accounting function at branch level
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Review and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
Monitor cash flow, stock, and operational expenses
Ensure accurate processing of debtors and creditors
VAT submissions and statutory compliance
Assist with audit preparation and internal control reviews
Partner with branch management to provide financial insight and support decision-making

Job Experience and Skills Required:

BCom degree in Accounting or Finance
Motor industry experience is non-negotiable
SAIPA articles advantageous
3–5 years’ relevant commercial experience
Strong understanding of reconciliations, reporting, and controls
High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with operational management
