Branch Manager

SUMMARY:
Our client in Rustenburg is looking for a Branch Manager for a Hardware store

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities and Duties 

1. Alignment with business  strategy
2. Create and maintain a high energy, customer centric and service oriented climate
3. Control expenses and shrinkage; protect assets
a) Ensure effective staff scheduling to minimise staff costs without compromising customer service
b) Ensure all staff are trained in and aware of their responsibilities relating to the prevention of shrinkage and the protection of company assets.
c) Constantly engage staff regarding reduction of expenses, waste and shrinkage – ensure that PDRs (‘How can we do it better today’) and formal training processes are used for this purpose

4. Ensure all administrative processes and procedures are in place, communicated and adhered to
5. Manage stock for optimum return
a) Ensure integrity of stock data and that stock is proactively managed to achieve:
b) Ensure balance and continuity in ranges
c) Required service levels (in stock)
d) Ensure increased trading densities
e) Ensure increased return on inventory
f) Ensure increased return on space

6. Staff Management
a) Ensure that the team structure is resourced by motivated and empowered staff and lead by sound performance management and transformational leadership practices
b) Engage in Talent Management
c) Develop Individual Development Plans to enable employee career plans
d) Manage non-performance through performance process
e) Manage Team Delivery based on performance plans
f) Foster team building
g) Ensure that the training, development and motivation of staff in the region is implemented as well as coach and mentor store managers to ensure that all staff are encouraged to maximize their capability and contribution
h) Ensure optimum staffing levels are maintained
