JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in a reputable organisation is looking for Brand, Digital and Social Media Officer/ Manager to administer our social media accounts, creation of original text and video content, managing posts and responding to NIHSS followers and manage the institute’s image in a cohesive way to achieve our mandate goal

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences
Design and implement social media strategy to align with NIHSS mandate and vision
Set specific objectives and report on ROI
Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos,- videos and news)
Monitor Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and web traffic metrics
Collaborate with other teams, like Scholarships,
Research, BRICS directorates and finance services to ensure brand consistency
Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor
stakeholder reviews
Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)
Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness
Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications

Education and Experience:

Diploma / degree in Marketing or relevant field
Proven work experience as a social media professional
Hands on experience in content manage

Knowledge and Skills:

Excellent copywriting skills
Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)
Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
Familiarity with web design
Knowledge or interest in higher education and / or the humanities and social sciences with web design
Excellent communication skills
Analytical and multitasking skills
