POSITION INFO:

PBT Group has an opportunity for a Business Analyst to apply a set of tasks and techniques used to work as a liaison amongst stakeholders in order to understand the problems; opportunities; needs; structure; policies and operations of the organization on medium to large projects / medium risk.

To recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals and to elicit and analyze the actual needs of the stakeholders; facilitate communication between organizational units and play a central role in aligning the needs of business units with the capabilities delivered by information technology and may serve as a translator between these groups.

Duties:

  • Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through effective relationship management.
  • Meet client expectations by resolving client queries and complaints timeously.
  • Compile reports for MANCO by consolidating information from the MI reports.
  • Ensure that direct reports are upskilled through continuous training and development.
  • Ensure that processes are in place and relevant by reviewing and implementing improvements.
  • Ensure clear accountability by allocating work accurately.
  • Ensure transformational target are met for own team through consideration of targets during the staff recruitment; retention and training process and utilizing suppliers listed on the preferred supplier list.
  • Participate in the development and implement action plans to address issues raised in culture surveys to improve results.
  • Manage performance of staff by implementing performance agreements; ensuring a clear vision; agreeing on goals and objectives; providing regular feedback on performance; recognizing and rewarding achievement and take appropriate corrective action where required.
  • Mentor and coach staff on identified performance gaps by discussing these performance gaps and agree on appropriate action to be taken.
  • Motivate staff to perform and contribute to the success of the business by creating environment of teamwork through engaging with staff (sharing information) and encouraging participation in decision making processes.
  • Stay abreast in field of expertise and deliver on the expectations from stakeholders by building capability of self and staff through identifying current and future
  • training and development needs.
  • Contribute to team effectiveness by following the recruitment process when recruiting talent.
  • Manage the on boarding process of new employees by ensuring execution of preparations according to the on-boarding check-list.
  • Interact with the customer to analyze their need and find solutions.
  • Creates user stories with relevant acceptance criteria.
  • Sometimes PO makes these stories and the BA will review them and confirm that they are in line with the business rules.
  • Discuss with all stakeholders (customer, technical team, and PO) to make sure that there is no gap at any level.
  • Finally prepares documents including design flow.

Experience:

  • 4 - 6 years working experience (business or IT).
  • 2 years practical experience of the business analysis discipline.
  • Principles of project management.
  • Relevant regulatory knowledge.
  • Relevant Governance controls and regulatory knowledge.
  • Object Orientation (Developers).
  • Usability and GUI techniques.
  • Risk Management in Banking.
  • Modelling (ARIS /UML).
  • End -to End Innovation Lifecycle Method.
  • BA Body of Knowledge.
  • Use Of Business Assessment tools: Feasibility studies, business cases.
  • Built and maintained stakeholder relationships.
  • Completed Reports and Achieved Budgets.
  • Designed Workforce Planning Solutions.
  • Developed and Implemented Communications Strategy.
  • Manage internal process.
  • Managed Transformation & Innovation Results.
  • Managed Process Results.
  • Managed Relationships.

Qualifications/ Certification:

Essential Qualifications

  • NQF Level
  • Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
  • Advanced Diplomas/National 1st Degrees.

Preferred Qualification

  • Relevant qualification in Business Analysis from one of the IIBAâ„¢ Endorsed Education Providers contributing towards future certification.
