Our client a Global Tech firm is seeking Business Analyst Team Lead to join their team in Sandton on a contract basis. Our client offers great benefits, stability, growth and an attractive salary.

Description

As the Business Analyst Team Lead you will be responsible for managing a team of Business Analysts who consult with clients on complex information technology challenges.

 As a Senior Business Analyst you will translate client requirements into functional requirements. Your objective is to design and test software code that enables computer systems to meet client needs. You will have strong knowledge on multi-technology application design best practice which enables them to contribute meaningfully in the team toward achieving optimal application designs. You will participate and contribute in the team''s development process and work with technical contacts from other teams or external partners on integration.

 You will perform delivery management tasks as needed to ensure enhancements are delivered on time, and meet user requirements. In addition you will participate in development of smaller projects and ensure their timely delivery.

 You will be required to drive the testing through the various test cycles and be required to create testing plans and test cases and facilitate the testing.

 You will be required to work on multiple client environments within a short space of time and work within a within a team to deliver a solution to our clients. 

Requirements

• Qualification/Professional Certifications
• Matric qualification
• Diploma (minimum); preferred bachelor''s degree with Computer Science, Information Technology or Information Systems as area of specialisation
• ITIL Foundation certification (Beneficial)

Experience

• Experience in application design, development and testing
• Experience in writing business cases
• 5+ years Business Analysis experience
• Knowledge of the full software development life cycle
• Knowledge of development methodologies essential
• Unified modelling language
• BABOK knowledge highly advantageous
• Previous project management experience highly advantageous

Functional areas

• Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
• Designs new systems and processes by analysing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.

• Work with software developers to develop functional requirements documents
• Analyse the client requirements and ensure the solution meets these requirements
• Design, evaluate and recommend best practices for design architecture
• Prepare system definitions, requirements analysis and test cases for implementation of applications
• Create test plans and supporting documentation
• Produce end-user and functional documentation
• Work closely and effectively and maintain good relationship with other team members, and in-house software development, project management, QA, and system admin teams
• Work independently with users and executives to address business challenges
• Help others in the organization with software knowledge at a level of understanding appropriate to their job function
• Research, and evaluate new application trends and technologies and provide best practices and recommendations
• Mentor less experienced members of the team in technology and processes
• Easily adapts themselves to various methodologies ranging from SDLC, primer and Agile - dependant on the needs of the project.

• As the Business Analyst Team Leader you will be involved in the following:
• To ensure internal and external stakeholders are informed and aligned in respect of the status of contracted services.
• Responsible for delivering against day to day services activities and service level performance agreements.
• To ensure appropriate distribution of work queue, including tactical workforce planning as and when required.
• To ensure performance by managing, coaching, mentoring and training direct reports, thereby ensuring competence to deliver in line with role profiles.
• To ensure quality assurance and compliance with relevant policies, processes and procedures.
• To identify opportunities and provide recommendations for refinement of relevant policies, processes, procedures and service catalogues.
