Business Controller

SUMMARY:
An awesome opportunity has presented itself at one of the leading global Industrial Technology and Manufacturing Firm’s based in Cape Town. The Entity is currently seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant, CIMA Or BCom Honours individual to take up a role as the Business (Financial) Controller of the branch.

POSITION INFO:

The incumbent will be reporting to the Division Manager. You will also support on business decisions by monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to evaluate various business alternatives and recommend the most appropriate business solutions.

Minimum Requirements:

• BCom in Finance/Accounting/Controlling (BCom Honours is advantageous)
• OR CA(SA) (ACCA, ACA)
• OR CIMA (Qualified or busy)
• Industrial Industry is an added advantage
• Minimum 2-4 years in accounting/controlling function in an international environment
• Practical work experience with demonstrated achievements is an added advantage
• Excellent SAP & Microsoft Office/Teams

 Performance Areas (Responsibilities):

• Contribute to the definition of the strategy for the business unit. Serve as the key partner for the relevant business leader in determining strategy for area of responsibility, aligning with wider strategy, implementing, and make adjustment in implementation as needed.
• Maintain constant contact with relevant other managers and controller regarding financial, market and customer situation and outlook.
• Translate strategy into business plans and establish measurable targets.
• Oversees the business planning and forecast process for the area of responsibility and serve as the interface to HQ/Country CFO/Global/Local Division Manager.
• Evaluates financial implications of various strategic decisions, build scenarios, and recommend actions. Identify and communicate commercial and financial risks and opportunities from business propositions.
• Execute risk review procedures and processes in line with global policies and standards to minimize commercial and financial risks and exposure.
• Ensure transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
• Ensures compliance with corporate and country standards, regulations, and guidelines.
• Support internal and external audits.
