To strengthen market position by sourcing high-quality business opportunities, converting them into successful sales, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. This role will focus on identifying new clients, enhancing existing relationships, and contributing to overall business development strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify profitable and high-quality business opportunities aligned with internal guidelines
- Conduct ongoing market research and provide insights to relevant teams
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, distributors, partners, and vendors
- Evaluate existing partnerships and refine strategies for improved outcomes
- Develop pricing and market strategies
- Drive deal closure with urgency and creativity
- Support integration of cross-departmental collaboration
- Share research on emerging technologies and industry practices
- Prepare accurate preliminary solar system designs (e.g., using Helioscope)
- Provide key insights to the development team
- Assist with tender submissions when required
- Ensure precise and accurate handovers to Engineering teams
- Foster strong, long-term client relationships
- Continuously build new partnerships and networks within the industry
- Share industry knowledge with the broader team
- Promote a positive, collaborative work culture
- Uphold company values and professional standards
- Size and quality of active sales pipeline
- Achievement of annual and individual sales targets
- High conversion rate of targeted opportunities (30–50%+)
- Compliance with pricing and deal-guideline expectations
- Strong internal and external relationship feedback
Job Experience & Skills Required (Ideal Candidate Profile):
- Minimum: BCom in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar
- Ideal: Postgraduate qualification in Marketing or Engineering
- 2+ years within the solar power or manufacturing industry (preferred)
