SUMMARY:
Our clients are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Renewable Energy Business Developer to drive growth across solar PV, battery energy storage (BESS), and hybrid energy solutions. The ideal candidate will identify new market opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and secure large-scale renewable energy projects within the commercial, industrial, and utility sectors.
This is a high-impact role suited to a results-oriented professional with strong technical understanding and proven sales performance in the energy sector.
POSITION INFO:
â¡ Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in solar, BESS, and renewable energy solutions
- Build and manage relationships with C&I clients, developers, EPCs, and strategic partners
- Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to financial close
- Develop and present compelling commercial proposals and financial models
- Conduct feasibility assessments and coordinate with engineering teams
- Negotiate contracts, PPAs, and commercial agreements
- Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activity
- Achieve and exceed revenue and growth targets
ð¯ Minimum Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Energy, Business, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience in renewable energy business development or energy sales
- Strong knowledge of solar PV, BESS, and power purchase agreements (PPAs)
- Proven track record of closing large-scale C&I or utility energy projects
- Strong financial acumen and understanding of project finance structures
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel nationally
