Are you a confident communicator with a passion for engaging people and building relationships? Carrick Wealth is looking for a driven and ambitious Business Development Specialist to join our dynamic Cape Town team.

This opportunity forms part of Carrick Athena, our women-led initiative focused on developing and empowering the next generation of talent within financial services. The programme is designed to provide a supportive, high-performance environment with strong mentorship and clear career progression pathways.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into the financial services space, working closely with experienced professionals while developing your skills in sales, client engagement, and wealth solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Proactively contact and engage with prospective clients
Identify opportunities and assess client suitability for our services
Book qualified appointments for our Private Wealth Managers
Maintain accurate client records in line with compliance standards
Support with diary management and general office coordination
Work towards and exceed individual and team targets
Attend team meetings, training sessions, and ongoing development initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Strong communication skills and a confident telephone etiquette
Well-spoken, articulate, and professional
Target-driven with a positive, resilient attitude
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Ability to work both independently and within a team
2–3 years’ work experience (sales or client-facing roles preferred)
Previous experience in financial services (advantageous)
Minimum requirement - Matric
