Business Development Consultant

Location: Durban | Short-Term Insurance (Property & Automotive)

We’re looking for ambitious, driven individuals to join our growing sales team as New Business Development Consultants in the short-term insurance sector. If you have a passion for sales and are ready to take your career to the next level, this opportunity is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Source sufficient lead-generating opportunities to ensure a minimum of 10 client quotes per week (40/month).

• Achieve a minimum of 8.5 written policies per month.

• Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix weekly.

• Conduct thorough needs analysis and offer professional advice once a quote is requested.

• Sign up a minimum of 5 active lead referral agents.

• Submit weekly performance reports, including leads, quotes, sales, lead sources, average premiums, and other relevant data.

• Stay updated on MI product changes and compare with competitor offerings.

• Ensure regulatory compliance and uphold ethical sales practices.

• Maintain specialist knowledge to provide professional advice across relevant business areas.

• Present yourself in a professional manner and maintain the required dress code.

Requirements:

1. Matric (Grade 12)

2. Proven external sales experience (insurance experience is advantageous)

3. FAIS Beneficial

4. RE5 Benificial

5. Valid driver’s license

6. Reliable own vehicle

What We Offer:

• Basic Salary: R15,000 – R20,000 p/m
