SUMMARY:
Business Development Manager Ã¢Â€Â“ Electrical Cables

POSITION INFO:

Qualification

A valid grade 12 certificate (essential)
Tertiary qualification preferably in Electrical Engineering

Requirements

A minimum of 5 to 10 years cabling sales experience
A strong knowledge of electrical products
Must be computer literate
An intimate knowledge of the area will be an advantage
Must have a valid driver’s licence

Duties

Maintaining sales and support to existing clients
Calling and following up on Industry end users, switchgear panel builders, system integrators, consultants and contractors
Conduct preliminary site inspections and energy studies together with engineer and technician
Compile an accurate and comprehensive data base on customers and their relationships/influences
Generating growth of allocated and new customer base on power quality products and solutions
Prepare customer proposals, reports and quotations
Prepare and conduct training/presentations to customers
Conducting exhibitions and customer specific training if required
Update customer base on product updates and new products
Prepare and report on sales for your area
Attend key project or customer meetings
Report on competitor activities in the area
Compile monthly sales review and forecasts
Assist engineering and technical staff with projects and studies
Perform other duties as directed by General Manager
