JOB SUMMARY:
Business Development Manager, a Well-Seasoned BDL/BDM: SADC strictly from ICT Sector, with extensive Experience in Consultative Selling and Solution Sales in the SADC Region Mauritius, Madagascar, and Comoros. One must fluently speak French.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The primary objective for this Market Development Leader role is to drive profitable growth of Company’s products and solutions in line with the accelerated growth strategy, Grow Market Share within Oil Companies through strategic initiatives that will result in revenue growth.

This role will be critical in helping drive market share growth in some of the under-penetrated markets within the SADC Region (Mauritius, Madagascar, and Comoros). Furthermore, this role will be responsible for driving the Retail Automation strategy as well as the successful adoption of Latitude as well as POS and PMT Solutions across the SADC Region.

The BDM must have strong experience and ability to Consultative Selling and to Sell Solutions within the full Sales Cycle, Source, Secure and Close deals, with Good Customer Management Relations to be able to Strategically Plan Technical Solutions with Clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborating with senior executives to establish and execute on the sales on the strategy for the region
  • Managing a sales team in order to maximize revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set targets
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales targets
  • Developing specific sales plans to ensure growth both long and short-term
  • Educating sales team with presentations of strategies, seminars and regular meetings
  • Reviewing regional expenses and recommending improvements
  • Managing regional orders meticulously through strong collaboration with globally placed manufacturing facilities
  • Ensure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems, legislation and policies
  • Funnel development and management
  • Market Segmentation, analysis and penetration
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, regulators, market participants and business partners
  • Channel partner development
  • Arrange training – products – certifications
  • Meet growth objectives
  • Oversee POC’s
  • Funnel Management
  • Market Research and keeping up to breast with Industry Developments.

  • Business degree with strong technical experience

Experience/

Knowledge

  • Proven Track Record in Consultative Selling Environment and Solution Sales?
  • Direct Consultative and Solution Sales experience, must have experience in selling the Cloud, selling a concept, and not easily discouraged in the sales cycle process.
  • Extensive solution sales experience preferably in the IT Sector or Oil / Gas Industries.
  • Consistent Top Performer in Sales with ability to Close Deals, Great Communicator with excellent Interpersonal Skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of SADC
  • People Management experience
  • Thorough knowledge of incoterms
  • Proven success in solution environment
  • Market development experience
  • Effective sales channel management
  • Strategic/tactical planning and execution
  • Sub-Saharan Africa technical sales experience with a multinational company
  • Experience in fuel automation and management space
