Business Development Technical Support

SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Business Development Technical Support role is responsible for assisting the Business Development function with technical coordination, client interaction, contract and document review, and internal alignment between technical and commercial teams. The role requires collaboration across multiple departments to ensure the timely and accurate delivery of business-related activities and support the acquisition and maintenance of client accounts. We have a permanent role in Centurion.

POSITION INFO:
Key responsibilities
- Support the Business Development team in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through technical input and documentation support.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and commercial stakeholders to ensure clear, timely communication of programme updates and client requirements.
- Participate in regular programme meetings to maintain awareness of project developments and proactively support technical and commercial alignment.
- Engage daily with the engineering and integration teams to gather updates, enhance technical knowledge, and provide real-time feedback to the Business Development function.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing system costing documentation and commercial proposals using Microsoft Excel and internal tools.
- Contribute to the drafting, proofreading, and reviewing of contracts, End User Certificates (EUCs), and other legal documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate and host client visits, including system demonstrations and facility tours, to support relationship management and business acquisition efforts.
- Attend meetings with suppliers and external stakeholders alongside the Business Development and Engineering teams to provide technical support and capture key information.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive positioning to contribute to strategic decision-making.
- Provide general support to senior executives on business development-related tasks as required.

Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronic, or equivalent)
- Minimum of 85% Matric average (compulsory requirement)

Experience
- 0–5 years of experience in a technical, business development or client-facing role.
