Business Intelligence Engineer, Telecoms Software Systems

Spot patterns others miss. Fix problems before they escalate. Work at the intersection of data, software, and live telecoms systems.

POSITION INFO:

This is not a pure reporting role. You’ll be working inside active telecoms environments, using data to troubleshoot, analyse, and improve systems that are constantly in motion.

We’re looking for a sharp, technically-minded individual who enjoys digging into problems, understanding how systems behave, and figuring out why something isn’t working the way it should.

Key Responsibilities

Data Investigation & Analysis
Write SQL queries to extract, analyse, and interpret data to diagnose issues and support decision-making.

System Troubleshooting
Investigate and resolve software and data-related issues within telecoms applications.

Application Support
Work with web-based systems, supporting and maintaining environments (ASP.NET exposure beneficial).

Stakeholder Interaction
Engage with internal teams and clients to understand problems and deliver practical solutions.

Continuous Improvement
Identify inefficiencies, inconsistencies, and opportunities to improve system performance.

Minimum Requirements

Qualification
BSc or BEng degree

Experience
1–2 years’ experience preferred, strong graduates will be considered

Required Skills

• Strong SQL capability, comfortable writing queries and working with data
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Understanding of web-based systems
• Exposure to .NET environments advantageous
• Scripting exposure (Python, Perl, etc.) beneficial
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with clients
