JOB SUMMARY:
BI Manager with relevant Degree and minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role and strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining, required to join the Data Management Team of this FSP based in Cape Town.

BI Manager with relevant Degree and minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role and strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining, required to join the Data Management Team of this FSP based in Cape Town.

Minimum requirements:

Relevant degree essential – Computer Science/Engineering/Statistics or similar
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role essential – BI Tools and management experience required
Extensive BI Developer experience required
SQL experience required
Experience in either QlikView or QlikSense or PowerBi or Python preferred
Financial Services Industry experience required
Experience in ETL Tools (SSIS, ODI, Data Stage, Informatics) required
Understanding of Datawarehouse methodologies required
Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining required
Cloud exposure – Azure/AWS beneficial
Agile/Scrum experience advantageous
Talend/Snowflake beneficial
Development experience (C#/Python/Java/Angular) beneficial

Responsibilities:

Develop, optimise and oversee company’s data systems and reporting requirements
Monitor system performance – regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features
Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
Staff mentoring and support
Respond to system problems
Oversee migration of front-end tools
Design computer code to improve and update software and applications
BI development
