Business Intelligence / MIS Manager

BI Manager with relevant Degree and minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role and strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining, required to join the Data Management Team of this FSP based in Cape Town.

Minimum requirements:

• Relevant degree essential – Computer Science/Engineering/Statistics or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role essential – BI Tools and management experience required
• Extensive BI Developer experience required
• SQL experience required
• Experience in either QlikView or QlikSense or PowerBi or Python preferred
• Financial Services Industry experience required
• Experience in ETL Tools (SSIS, ODI, Data Stage, Informatics) required
• Understanding of Datawarehouse methodologies required
• Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining required
• Cloud exposure – Azure/AWS beneficial
• Agile/Scrum experience advantageous
• Talend/Snowflake beneficial
• Development experience (C#/Python/Java/Angular) beneficial

Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimise and oversee company’s data systems and reporting requirements
• Monitor system performance – regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features
• Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
• Staff mentoring and support
• Respond to system problems
• Oversee migration of front-end tools
• Design computer code to improve and update software and applications
• BI development
