BI Manager with relevant Degree and minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role and strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining, required to join the Data Management Team of this FSP based in Cape Town.
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant degree essential – Computer Science/Engineering/Statistics or similar
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar data driven role essential – BI Tools and management experience required
- Extensive BI Developer experience required
- SQL experience required
- Experience in either QlikView or QlikSense or PowerBi or Python preferred
- Financial Services Industry experience required
- Experience in ETL Tools (SSIS, ODI, Data Stage, Informatics) required
- Understanding of Datawarehouse methodologies required
- Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining required
- Cloud exposure – Azure/AWS beneficial
- Agile/Scrum experience advantageous
- Talend/Snowflake beneficial
- Development experience (C#/Python/Java/Angular) beneficial
Responsibilities:
- Develop, optimise and oversee company’s data systems and reporting requirements
- Monitor system performance – regular tests, troubleshooting and integrating new features
- Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems
- Staff mentoring and support
- Respond to system problems
- Oversee migration of front-end tools
- Design computer code to improve and update software and applications
- BI development
