Business Process Analyst: Finance

SUMMARY:

One of the chemicals & specialty company based in Johannesburg is currently looking to hire a Business Process Analyst: Finance with the following skills and experience:

POSITION INFO:

As the functional Business Process Owner (BPO) for Finance in an SAP ERP implementation project team, the objective of the role is:

• to understand, analyse, define and develop business processes;
• to provide recommendations on business process simplification and standardisation;
• to design and document process flow diagrams;
• to gather, articulate and document business requirements and assist the Systems/IT team with translating those into SAP technical specifications; and
• to take ownership of the SAP ERP development process on behalf of the Business by attending meetings with the Systems/IT team, liaising with developers and designing and reviewing test cases thereby ensuring the development is according to specification.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in Information Systems, Business/Finance or Computer Science (essential).
• Relevant qualification in Business Analysis from one of the IIBA Endorsed Education Providers (essential).
• Proven experience in working with Business Analysis Methodologies and related frameworks;
• Relevant experience in systems analysis and design;
• Process analysis and process design experience;
• SAP FI-CO module experience (advantageous);
• Min 3 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Relevant SAP module certification (SAP FI-CO) (advantageous)

Knowledge

• Business Analysis Methodologies (e.g. BABOK etc.);
• Knowledge of process modelling tools (e.g. Rational Software Modeller, Visio, Aris);
• Knowledge of Data Architecture and Data Flow Analysis;
• A good understanding of the system development life cycle (SDLC);
• Understanding SAP ERP (R/3, ECC 6, S4 HANA)
• Understanding of Process Control Software (e.g. SAP Solution manager etc.).
• Finance operations specific knowledge in a manufacturing and/or trading environment;
• Knowledge of business and understanding of IT, and ability to converse in both domains;
• Ability to articulate complex or technical concepts and issues in business terms.
