SUMMARY:
Love working with data and uncovering insights? We’re looking for a Business Reporting Analyst in Cape Town to transform complex data into clear, actionable reports that guide executive decisions and highlight business opportunities.

POSITION INFO:
In this role, you’ll analyse customer and operational data, build dashboards, and simplify trends using tools like Power BI, SQL, and Excel. If you’re detail-oriented, analytical, and passionate about turning numbers into strategy, then this opportunity is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the statistical reporting process, ensuring that reports are accurate and delivered on time.
Gather, analyse, and interpret business data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Define system requirements and design practical business solutions using tools such as Power BI.
Extract, clean, and validate raw data to ensure it reflects true business performance.
Investigate and resolve data discrepancies or reporting variances.
Create ad hoc reports and simplify complex information for senior stakeholders.
Analyse customer behaviour, spending patterns, and demographics to support strategic decisions.
Support the review and improvement of current software and processes.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and reporting standards.
Maintain databases and design efficient business workflows.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, or a related field
Experience:
- 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, report development, and dashboard creation
Skills:
- Exposure to statistical tools and query languages (e.g., SQL, SPSS, and Power Query)
- Familiarity with BI platforms (e.g., Power BI) and data warehousing/ETL processes
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
