Business Reporting Analyst

POSITION INFO:
Our client is a dynamic organization operating in a fast-paced, data-driven environment. They’re looking for a Business Reporting Analyst to lead reporting insights, statistical modelling, and business intelligence initiatives across the finance and operations landscape. In this role, you’ll play a key part in guiding strategic decisions, optimizing processes, and improving business performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, interpret, and transform complex datasets into impactful reports and dashboards
• Prepare and present timeous business performance reports to stakeholders
• Design and implement reporting models using tools such as Power BI and Excel
• Clean, extract, and validate data from multiple systems
• Investigate trends, variances, and discrepancies in historical and real-time data
• Develop and maintain reporting workflows, documentation, and business processes
• Translate statistical insights into simplified, management-friendly outputs
• Conduct business analysis to determine reporting and system requirements
• Support enhancements to existing data systems and workflow platforms
• Ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency across reporting functions

• Bachelor’s Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
• 3–5 years’ experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (including VBA)
• Experience with BI tools such as Power BI (or similar)
• Experience with SQL, Power Query, or statistical tools (e.g., SPSS)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Understanding of ETL processes, data transformation, and data warehousing
• Ability to present insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Advantageous: Exposure to workflow automation or low-code platforms
