POSITION INFO:

Role Output: to partner with Head of Research to develop a robust research culture at the Business School and to support the Head of Research in their role as MBA research project module convenor. This position will also include research co-ordination, management, student and researcher support.

Responsibilities

Support the Head of Research in developing a robust research culture
Co-ordinate various research projects and other projects undertaken by the Research

Department

Manage budget and finances of the research department
Co-ordinate research-related events such as research colloquiums and conferences
Assist the Head of Research in coordinating the student support to MBA students completing their research projects
Support the Head of Research in managing the supervisory support of student
Record research output of the school
Facilitate the production of thought leadership output such as whitepapers, case studies, reports and journal articles
Liaise with the MBA department on student progress

Requirements

NON-NEGOTIABLES for successful consideration

A degree or postgraduate qualification in business
Experience within a business school environment
Experience in managing and co-ordinating research related activities in a Higher Education environment
Experience in managing and working with teams

Skills and Knowledge

Excellent coordination, communication, and inter-personal skills
Experience in coordinating the development of thought leadership
Knowledge of relevant educational systems and reporting
Capacity to engage with people within and outside of the organisation
Good with numbers and financial management
