Business/Financial Writer

The Role:

We are recruiting a  Business/ Financial writer to join our team on Johannesburg.

The Business / Financial content writer is responsible to create well written and articulate content pieces around multiple subjects including internal and external communications.

The external aspects will cover a multitude of topics including but not limited to client communications, market communication and ICT related content. 

Skills and Experience:

Qualification Required:

• Grade 12
• Relevant Degree or Qualification (Marketing, Communication, Public Relations)

Preferred Qualification:

• Post graduate degree

Experience Required:

• 7 years min writing experience, 4 of which should include Financial B2B and in a technical (ICT) capacity. Ability to grasp technical concepts easily and translate it into an understandable piece. Good media relations.                
• 5 - 10 yrs Project / Related experience -  Accuracy and completeness of documentation, displays responsibility and analytical reasoning, practical with good communication skills, time management, able to work independantly and in a team.                
• 5 - 10 yrs Leadership Collaboration, accountability to take ownership, technical mastery and continuous learning                
                      

Key Accountabilities:

Duties/Responsibilities:

External Focus      

• Thought leadership pieces, blogs, white papers                            
• Communications strategy for investor relations                            
• SEO writing                            
• Success stories and case studies aligned to the EOH strategy                            
• Digital content: web content, social media copy, mail content, campaign copy (scripts, campaign messaging)                             
• Editing: copy editing, talking points / presentation content                             
• Video scripts                            
• Content research                            
• Maintenance of good media relationships                            
• Research and analysis of company and client strategies ,and alignment thereof in order to respond accordingly                            

Internal Focus:                            

• Executive bio's and Linkedin profile management of executive team                          
• Staff communication newsletter and mailers from executive team                            
• Internal writing as required.
