POSITION INFO:
Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric
• National Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Public Procurement /B. Com Accounting/Financial Management

• 3 to 5 years’ relevant experience in Procurement and Sourcing of Goods and Services

• Provide guidance to end user requirements and specifications
• Research relevant suppliers for the required resources
• Facilitate purchase requests from End user departments and ensure compliance to SCM Policy
• Upload advertisements on the website and request quotations
• Evaluate quotations and award to suppliers according to set standards
• Process and co-ordinate queries to ensure smooth functioning of the procurement process
• Liaise with suppliers regarding short deliveries, queries on purchase order delivery and payment queries
• Liaise with internal users regarding outstanding requisitions and purchase orders
• Provide information to the Financial Department relating to invoices queries resulting from purchase order placed.
• Identify potential fronting and notify the organisation
• Monitor the functioning of printers and other office equipment in the Procurement Section
• Arrange call-outs from office equipment vendors
• Carry out reasonable and lawful instructions as given by the line manager/supervisor within the ambit of the position taking into consideration competencies and operational requirements

• Computer literacy, MS Office as well ERP systems
• Valid unendorsed drivers license
• Knowledge of BBBEE
• Knowledge of PPPFA, price and preference scoring methods
• Working knowledge of Targeted Procurement
• Interpersonal, planning and prioritizing skills
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
