JOB SUMMARY:
One of our clients, a leader in the construction industry, is looking for a dynamic individual to take up the above role and become a part of their team!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Main purpose of the job

Maintenance, management and control of the Procurement Purchasing function and ensure adherence to the procurement policy, processes and procedures.

Requirements (qualifications, experience & skills)

Grade 12 or NQF equivalent
Diploma in Purchasing Management (Bachelors Degree would be preferred)
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
Minimum of 6 years in a Technical Buying environment
Drivers licence essential

Role responsibilities

Facilitate sea, air and inland shipping
Co-ordinate deliveries that includes sea, air & inland shipping
Liaise with shipping lines and forwarding agents for imports and exports
Measure according to deliveries delivered on time
Ensure that all relevant shipping documents are received from Shipper (Supplier), Included is Surface Transport
Co-ordinate pick-ups and deliveries with the company''s transporter, ensuring that cargo is delivered at the correct point of delivery
Manage the R2P process by monitoring the ageing of the opening order book - number of days open after expiry date
Ensure correct Procurement strategy is followed
Meet B-BBEE and Local Supplier targets
Understand criteria for B-BBEE
Ensure newly sourced suppliers meet B-BBEE compliance
Compliance to partner and the company''s supplier portal
Expedite delivery of purchase orders
