Buyer (Retail)

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Buyer (Retail) for a permanent vacancy based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:

 

• B.Degree in Accounting / related field
• 5+ years’ experience within FMCG food and retail environment as a Buyer
• Strong computer skills – MS Office and Purchasing software
• Willing to work retail hours, public holidays and weekends
• Must have clear credit and criminal
• Strong ability to forecast market trends
• Impeccable attention to detail

The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Monitoring purchase orders
• Market research
• Competitor analysis
• Daily, weekly an d monthly reports
• Selecting and buying merchandise
• Develop an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all open purchase orders
• Work with inventory management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back ordered / missing products
