SUMMARY:
My client is looking for an experienced Buyer for their Vehicle Maintenance area. This will be a great opportunity for the right person to play a key role in their procurement division. Experience in an OEM in the spares and maintenance category would be a good match . Open to South African citizens and preference will be given to equity candidates.

POSITION INFO:
A Diploma in CIPS, or CSCP would be advantageous or
Proven experience in purchasing in the spares and maintenance category for this role

Key functions will include

Purchasing
Inventory Management (using ABC analysis, EOQ and JIT principles)
Management of stock availability
Supplier Performance Management
Price benchmarking
Managing the rebate process together with procurement finance
Store co-ordination

Competencies

Strong understanding and experience in operational systems and procedures
Detail orientated
Enjoy working in a fast paced environment
Co-ordination of operational activities
Customer relationships building
Managing complaints and incidents
