The Company
A R&D led engineering company, renowned for their work in helping save lives and the planet, is looking to add a Senior and Principal Engineer to their team. Their success has been built on their Engineers voicing their opinions, solving complex and meaningful real world problems, challenging the status quo and exploring the unexplored.
A lot of their work is venturing new ground with no "typical" route to follow- you''re encouraged to bring new ideas to the table, test out new ways of working, and get to the root of the problem to change the industry, and world, as we know it.
They''re responsive, listen to their people, and are committed to staying ahead of the curve. They''ve gone through a lot of change recently, redefining what it means for them to be Agile, adopting modern tech and principles etc. Their Engineering teams have shaped their current offering, stack, and environment - this kind of opportunity to really shape an established organisation is unheard of.
They have a few offices around the UK and fully trust in you to work on-site, from home, or a mix of both - they will work with you in any way that suits.
The Role and Tech
As an Engineer you''ll be hands on with coding, creating architecture for new features, mentoring junior colleagues, liaising with stakeholders, conducting code reviews and helping drive the team towards their goals.
Their stack is varied but above all, having a drive to solve problems with an analytical mind is key! They''re not a demanding bunch, and don''t expect you to know it all.
We''re looking for a mix of the following:
- Experience with C++, Visual Studio, C#
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- TDD
- Git
It''s a bonus if you have experience with:
- MFC
- Fortran
- Azure DevOps
- Mathematics/ science/ statistics

- Salary up to £65,000 p/a
- Bonus
- 10% pension
- Private medical care
- Life assurance
- Remote & flexible working
