Our client in the Insurance Services in the West Rand is looking for a CA(SA) to join their team
POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements: CA(SA) qualification with a current and valid SAICA registration Minimum 3-5 years' post-qualification experience Solid understanding of IFRS, the Companies Act, taxation and applicable financial regulations Exposure to Prudential Authority requirements and regulatory reporting would be advantageous Strong technical accounting and financial reporting capability Advanced Excel and sound proficiency in accounting\/ERP systems Highly organised, deadline-focused and able to manage competing priorities Willingness to assist with additional responsibilities when required Ability to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment Financial Accounting & Reporting Overall responsibility for group accounting, monthly management accounts and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance Manage audits, financial controls, governance, invoicing, broker commissions, payments and financial reporting to management and the Board Commercial & Financial Planning Provide financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting and modelling to support strategic business decisions Monitor performance, profitability and financial risks while identifying opportunities to improve financial efficiency and sustainability Cash Flow, Treasury & Risk Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and daily treasury requirements Identify financial and operational risks and oversee appropriate mitigation, insurance and reinsurance arrangements Tax, Regulatory & Statutory Compliance Ensure compliance with accounting standards, legislation and regulatory requirements, including VAT, PAYE, income tax and statutory submissions Liaise with SARS, auditors and regulatory authorities, including Prudential Authority matters and regulatory changes Governance & Stakeholder Management Maintain strong financial governance, accountability, internal controls and regulatory compliance across the organisation Provide financial insight to senior management and the Board while managing relationships with auditors, regulators, SARS, banks and outsourced providers Key Competencies Strong technical accounting, commercial, analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced Excel and ERP\/financial systems knowledge Strategic yet hands-on, with strong governance, communication, accuracy, integrity, ownership and professional judgement Resilient, self-motivated and able to prioritise effectively while meeting demanding deadlines and working under pressure Consultant: Andri Joubert - Dante Personnel Greenstone Apply via our website If you do not hear from us within 5 days, please accept that your application was unsuccessful
