POSITION INFO:
Key Requirements:

• Grade 10 education.
• Two years of experience in a similar environment.
• Experience in various functions of this role.
• Plan, organize, and oversee food preparation and cooking.
• Supervise kitchen staff and support the Catering Manager in running the establishment.
• Promote a harmonious working environment and teamwork among the staff.
• Maintain company standards and procedures as per the client's requirements.
• Collaborate with the Catering Manager to cost daily menus.
• Purchase or requisition supplies and manage their usage.
• Conduct weekly stock-takes and ensure proper food rotation.
• Ensure storeroom access security and authority.
• Assign duties to kitchen staff and supervise their work.
• Be prepared to personally prepare dishes when needed.
• Inspect dishes for quality and presentation before serving.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
• Maintain records related to food production activities.
• Assist and deputize for the Catering Manager when required.
