CCIE Network Engineer

POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking a CCIE Network Engineer to join their team in Cape town on a 12 month contract. They offer stability, competitive rates, growth and an excellent working environment.

As a CCIE Network Engineer, you''ll be responsible for creating and managing our network infrastructure. You will be required to configure routers, switches, and firewalls in order to ensure the smooth functioning of our networks. You should have experience with Cisco devices such as routers, switches, or access points. Experience with Open Source software is preferred but not required.

Requirements

Routing and Switching - Network Security;
Routing and Switching - Datacentre;
Advanced / expert network designs;
Implementation of advanced solutions;
Operational support relating to problem responses;
Advanced troubleshooting;
Audit user activity to ensure integrity and performance of the database;
Establish standards, policies, and procedures for database administration; and
Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team;
Ability to be self-managed, ethical, and honest;
Ability to be respectful and seek to build relationships;
Have a pragmatic approach to business transformation;
Strong presentation skills at board level (EXCO, CTM, etc.);
Relevant technical skills and experience;
Relevant knowledge and experience in the business; and
Experience and capability of leading IT technologies.

Qualifications

Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or evidence of minimum NQF Level 4
Cisco OEM Certification as Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert in any of the following:
Routing and Switching
Collaboration
Data Centre
Security
Wireless
Most recent renewal or cert not older than 2019
Related collective 5-year experience in the same or similar role;
Evidence of service rendered in an organization of 500+ users (evidence of at least one organization to be reflected in CV)
