SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Head of Finance EMEA

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to drive the financial function across compliance, tax and treasury, internal control, reporting and partnering to support the business in South Africa. Due to our client''''s equity plan, preference will be given to African males.  South African citizens essential.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• CA (SA)
• 10 years of experience in industry
• Multinational experience essential
• Operating in an FD role for a minimum of 3 years essential
• Must have been part of MANCO / EXCO
• Must understand Business Partnering
• Management of Team experience- Essential
• Cross Function roles- Essential
• Proficiency in Tax and Transformation- Essential

 

Key Result Areas:

• Management and Statutory reporting in line with regulatory requirements and Head Office standards as required, covering the following areas:
  • All monthly reporting and financial year-end audits
  • Statutory reporting for SEA sub-region including Nigeria
  • Management reporting- monthly reporting aligned with Global team in France
• Implement and monitor internal controls, including the procurement process, ensuring strong governance and compliance and tracking mitigating actions with Business Units and functions
• Ensure tax compliance with local regulations to prevent any potential risks and optimise tax strategies that benefit the company             
• Drive the annual budget process by supporting the Business Units in preparing the data, consolidating the information and run the first level review to ensure the budget process was followed and the annual budget submitted is sound and defensible  
• Support the business across functions and business units, by being an active member of Manco and provide sound and relevant financial support and guidance to business       
• Oversee the treasury function in-country, driving execution of the treasury plan and financial forecasting      
• Drive the development of the BEE strategy, in collaboration with other Manco members, to ensure a consolidated plan across the various areas (procurement, HR, skills development)
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes for all Business Units
