SUMMARY:
C&I / Automation technician required in Johannesburg East in the Steel and Industrial manufacturing sector.
Key responsibilities will include PLC Programming, automation, and instrumentation systems. Will also be responsible for doing Level 2 and Level 3 Industrial MES. Diploma in Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering with managerial experience in the Automation / MIS. PLC/DCS Programming, Networking, SQL, and VB programming , and be able to work on Power BI.

POSITION INFO:
Specialist Automation Technician/ PLC Specialist/ MIS Technician

Johannesburg East

Well-established manufacturer.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining automation's, reliability, process control, and instrumentation systems. Will also be responsible for doing Level 2 and Level 3Industrial Automation

Qualification:
National Diploma in electronic or Instrumentation Engineering
Electronic/Instrumentation technician Trade test beneficial.
Managerial experience in the Automation / MIS field

Experience :

Process Control Systems and Databases experience
PLC/DCS Programming,
Networking,
Database knowledge SQL,
VB programming

Responsibilities:

PLC Maintenance and programming (Siemens)
Aveva System Platform maintenance and updates
Scada Programming
Networks: Ethernet, , Profibus, Profinet.
Managing/ overseeing the Process Control Systems and Databases.
Programming Visual Basic (VB) ASP.net
VB Scripting
SQL Server (Stored Procedures, Functions, Views (
SSRS
Be able to work on Power BI
Maintain and develop intricate and complex systems required by the process control system.
