Excellent Opportunity for a CIMA Group Costing Manager, Manufacturing, Pinetown, Durban, KZN (Market-related Package)
POSITION INFO:
Our Client, a well-established South African Manufacturer in the industry is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced CIMA Group Costing Manager to report into the Chief Financial Officer, based in Pinetown, Durban, KZN
MINIMUM KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum CIMA or Degree in Finance
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience post degree
- Experience managing a team essential
- Costing experience ESSENTIAL (Pref from a FMCG background)
- Experience in navigating Microsoft (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- JDE experience is advantageous

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Management of the Costing department
- Ensure that all members of the team have executed their tasks
- Perform training of staff and provide leadership to the costing department
Custodian of Bills of Materials
- Ensure that the integrity of data is accurate in mathematical order for Durban, Gqeberha and Johannesburg divisions
- Integrity checks are performed to ensure that costs are copied across branch plants accordingly
- Review of BOM’s before updated by team for divisions nationally
Manufacturing Accounts at Month End
- Ensure the team complies with all corporate deadlines
- Review and analyze commentary for all manufacturing accounts for Durban, Gqeberha and Johannesburg divisions before submission to Group Financial Manager
- Review of Month end Labour journals for divisions nationally
Budgets
- Divisional standard cost rollup for divisions nationally
- Raw Materials/Outworker charges/Internal labour are updated
- Complete cost roll up is followed
- Cardex Reconciliation of As of Report to GL
- Ensure that the integrity of data is correct
- Investigate discrepancies and advise Executive management
- Reconciliation done on a monthly basis and journalized once approved by CFO.
- Stock Control
- Ensure that all divisions adhere to the stock count procedures as outlined
- Ensure that the stock conduct and processes are followed accordingly
- Ensure that the responsible parties send the authorised approval and are valid before approving on JDE
- Ensure that full stock counts are performed on a quarterly basis for Durban, Gqeberha and Johannesburg divisions
- Cycle counts – performed on items of concern that have been identified by relevant stakeholders
- Variances are investigated and feedback provided
- Process inventory adjustments upon approval from CFO
- Adhoc projects
